CLEMSON — Freshmen receivers Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore continue to get some buzz during Clemson’s training camp.
Following Friday’s practice, safety RJ Mickens was asked about the two freshmen during his press conference after the seventh day of camp.
“Those are just two incredible young players,” the senior said. “They have came in and they are the best freshmen receivers I’ve seen. They have explosiveness, that deep vertical threat.
“Wesco can do it all. They just bring a whole different element and, of course, we already have deep threats like Adam Randall and Cole Turner and Antonio [Williams]. But we also have those new guys in the room and they are really explosive and young and bring that spark to the offense.”
Clemson, which is ranked No. 14 in the Coaches Poll, will scrimmage in Memorial Stadium for the first time in camp on Saturday. The scrimmage is closed to the public.
