Admittedly, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense looked pretty poor on Friday night against the Houston Texans. The team was only able to muster up 12 points and the starting group wasn’t responsible any of those. The run game was stuck in neutral with the starters and the offense ran through a third-string quarterback for most of the game.
Things were supposed to be different with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, right? No more Matt Canada meant no more boring, listless football. This was going to be a dynamic, powerful rushing attack and deep passing.
One preseason game in the books and that definitely didn’t show up on the field. And as we all know, when it comes to Steelers fans, it doesn’t take much for them to turn on their team. Steeler Nation took to X, formerly Twitter to call for Smith to be fired before the game even ended
